About the Project
I was the designer, editor and led the creative direction for this book project. It is a collaborative work between myself and 5 other artists - Danielle Alhassid, Maja-Lisa Flodin-Ali, Eunha Kim, Jin Mateo Kim and Noa Raviv.
The title takes its name from the poem illusions written by surrealist painter and writer kay sage in 1921. The publication was printed in conjunction with a show of the same title at 205 Hudson Gallery in New York, New York in the winter of 2024. These six artists, while exploring different themes in their personal work, held crossovers at the ideas of femininity, the other and the unknown. Rather than create a catalogue of the exhibition, the artists opted to create a visual diary of what they were thinking of and inspired by while making the works on view. It is 92 pages with a perfect bound soft cover, and risographed single color printing throughout.
